OpenLP's mission

Our mission is to demystify the LP perspective to empower emerging and established managers, as well as the entrepreneurs they back.

OpenLP is curated by LGT Capital Partners and is an LP-focused resource for the venture capital community.

By sharing content from across the VC ecosystem, we help GPs, LPs, entrepreneurs and other industry stakeholders develop a greater understanding of the venture market and the technology startup ecosystem.

Why OpenLP

LPs, the firms and institutions that invest in venture capital funds, have historically been quiet when it comes to lending their perspective. That’s why in 2014, we set out to provide transparency into the LP mindset by launching OpenLP.

We wanted emerging and established managers, as well as the entrepreneurs they invest in, to have more accessibility and resources available with VC insights that are otherwise not taught elsewhere.

Today, we aggregate the latest articles, podcasts, reports and more on our website and across our social networks from a diverse group of top GP and LP voices, covering key topics - from portfolio construction, fundraising, benchmarking, market trends and fund management to investment strategy and ESG & diversity.

Origins Podcast

OpenLP produces Origins, the podcast that dives deep into the business of venture capital and explores how the people behind the capital – both GPs and LPs – make decisions.
